LEARNING TO LOVE YOU MORE ASSIGNMENT

I was feeling a bit unproductive, so I decided to do a LTLYM project. Today it’s #11.

“Photograph a scar and write about it”

I fell off my skateboard when I was 13. I was attempting to ride down a steep hill, but I wasn’t very good. A car drove up very close behind me and began honking aggressively. I lost control and fell for what seemed like an eternity.
The driver got out and began laughing at me as I was crying. A girl leaned out of the car and asked if I was alright, but I was still mad at the driver for causing my accident. I walked back up the hill and inspected my arm. It was covered with blood. I began screaming involuntarily as the blood dripped off and landed on my shoes.
A woman ran up and rushed me inside her house to clean my wounds. She dipped my elbow in salt water and picked out the gravel. I found out she was a parent of another kid at my school. His name was James, and we later became friends. They were Mormons. Since that experience, I found that all of the Mormons I have met were very nice people.

SWI BIOGRAPHY PROJECT

Here’s a fun project by Scott Wayne Indiana, you should try it.

“Design a book cover of a biography of a local artist you like, and email the image to the artist. (if you really want to go off the deep end, print post cards of the “soon to be released biography” and hand them out at art openings.) be sure to include your own name.”

Here’s the one I sent him….

CAST CHOCOLATE CHAIR

The Community Warehouse collected over $80,000 during the fund raising event on the 17th. It was an energetic event, mostly due to Johnna Wells hypnotic talent as an auctioneer.
Ryan Dobrowski, owner of Pip Gallery in Portland picked up my chocolate chairs. Seems we may have an “eat John Larsen’s stool” event in the near future. Either way, you should drop by and see his work. 625 NW Everett, #110, Portland OR.
